I first stumbled upon this spot six or seven years ago when I was staying at a hotel nearby on a business trip. It was late at night and my co-workers and I were just driving by and saw a bunch of street lights and dozens of people standing around taking pictures. Of course, I had to convince my co-workers to get out of the car so we could essentially do the same thing.
Fast forward, now that I’m actually a resident of Los Angeles, only feels right to share this not so hidden gem location. P.S. it’s part of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), so don’t just take pictures by the lights, make the most of your trip by stepping inside the largest art museum in the western part of the U.S.
If you want to make a WEHO day out of it, grab coffee at one of my favorite spots: Verve, head over to Urth Caffe for brunch or boba, grab a slice of crepe cake from Lady M, and shop around the famous Melrose Avenue, The Grove (farmer’s market and outdoor mall) and Beverly Center. Enjoy!
