Farewell, Baltimore

And now it’s time to finally explain why I’ve been so M.I.A. as of late.

1) My mom fell off a stool and hasn’t been able to walk for over a month now. I’ve been busy taking care of her and my dad. It’s funny, I know I'm getting older, but I forget that my parents are getting older too. It’s like I think they froze in time and they’ll always be at the same age they are now, but no. Turns out, due to her age, it’s taking her longer to heal.

2) I’m finally checking off two items on my life goals list: Moving to California and living in a different state before I hit the big 3-0. I was born in Maryland, went to University of Maryland (TERPS, where you at?!) and have always worked in Maryland. I know there is more out there in the world, and now is the perfect time for me to explore. I’m single and in my twenties (hehe). It’s now or never. And why California you might ask? I visited this state many times for work and I absolutely love it. The weather is always on point, the FOOD (OMGGGGG) and the healthy lifestyle. Luckily, I have a new job opportunity secured, but don’t have housing quite yet. I have to say, moving across the country is A) EXPENSIVE B) Difficult. BUT, I’m up for the challenge and ready to invest in myself.

So wish me luck. Baltimore will always be my home.
